About the Composter

In-vessel composters by X-Act Systems are large, robust rotating drums that compost huge volumes of organic waste in as little as 4 to 5 days.  The X-Act vessel is available in 6' to 10' diameters and in lengths from 24' to 128', and is sized to your operational needs.

The X-Act System Composter is a designed to be a long-term solution, and although it is a simple design, it is built to heavy-duty standards in order to withstand the rigors of turning tons and tons of material 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.  The composter rotates continuously at about 10 rph, and is driven by a Eurodrive variable speed drive unit using a surprisingly low hp motor.  The size of motor depends on the size of the vessel but ranges from 5 to 40 hp. 

3" x 1/2" Wear bars are welded along the length of the vessel every 6" for added strength.

The vessel is set on a slope so that the compost moves along inside the vessel as it rotates.

Industrial grade Eurodrive uses low horse power to turn the vessel (10 to 20 revolutions per hour).	Stabilizers keep the mammoth vessel and its heavy load in line. Precision engineered one-piece steel support wheels bear the entire weight.
